Hello Dear Psychotherapist Colleagues,
Last year, I heard a lot of my colleagues talk about the power of Brainspotting. While tentatively curious, I asked a certified Brainspotting colleague to do a session with her. The depth of the work convinced me that Brainspotting allowed for very deep subcortical work –where traumas are held and deep long lasting healing takes place. I knew then that it would be a great alternative, and/or complement to my EMDR training, and that Brainspotting would seamlessly merge with my TRM skills. This lead me to take the phase 1 training. As it had been the case with my initial TRM level 1, I was hooked and began using it with my clients the following Monday. A year later, I can attest that Brainspotting has taken my healing and psychotherapeutic work to the next level. I’m also glad to report that as of last November, I am a Certified Brainspotter!
I invite you to join us for the Brainspotting Phase 1 Training, which will be taught here in Los Angeles on February 23 – 25, 2018 by Dr. Pie Frey, Psy.D.
In 2006, Dr. Pie Frey was trained in Brainspotting by David Grand himself, the creator and developer of Brainspotting. Pie is the Senior US and Canadian Trainer and assists Dr. Grand in many of his training workshops and intensives. Pie has trained hundreds of BSP therapists all over the United States and Canada in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 since 2009. Indeed, I took Phase 2 with Pie. Her refined attunement to the work left an indelible mark! Pie also facilitates Brainspotting groups and individual consultations. Dr. Frey is the founder and President of the Rocky Mountain Brainspotting Institute in Boulder, Colorado; a nonprofit dedicated to educating the community about Brainspotting and developing a scholarship program for BSP therapies.
